Studying Hamlet
A devised ensemble piece composed of non-linear etudes which explore personal connections to Hamlet's text, themes, relationships, conflicts, and characters. The piece incorporated dervish whirling, and music based on the traditional Persian lullabies collected by Sima Bina, rearranged polyphonically by Maciej Rychły. Directed by Grzegorz Bral. Studying Hamlet first premiered in London after development as a student project and subsequently was developed further and presented in a professional context in the main program of the 2015 Gdansk Shakespeare Festival in Gdansk, Poland.
