TREE was a public, site-specific group butoh performance which evolved through the exploration of the physical and energetic qualities of individual trees and groves of trees. Imagery was developed using butoh-fu, a choreographic method that utilizes imagery as content for somatic exploration in butoh dance.

My work in this piece was based upon the life progression and behaviors of a bird of prey, and the dialogue between plant, animal, and human energetic states.
